A Partner on Your Path to Healing
Do you often feel overwhelmed, stressed, or worn down by the sheer complexity of your life—whether that stress comes from past hurts, professional pressure, or navigating big life transitions? Perhaps you've been carrying the heavy weight of grief or trauma, or maybe the pervasive fog of depression or anxiety has made facing another day feel isolating or exhausting. It's natural to question when—or if—relief will ever come.

I want you to know that the pain you feel is valid, and there is absolutely an opportunity to heal and find relief. You don’t have to carry that weight alone, and you don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode. Healing isn’t just possible—it’s your inherent right.

My Unique Approach: Compassion Meets Clarity

I’m Deanna Synowiec, and as an LLPC (Limited Licensed Professional Counselor), my practice is built on a strong foundation of clinical expertise coupled with extensive real-world business management and personal experiences.

My journey transitioned from the corporate world to clinical counseling because I am deeply passionate about helping others unlock their full potential. I am currently a doctoral student actively pursuing my Ph.D. in Counseling from Oakland University, reflecting my deep commitment to advanced research and providing you with the highest standard of care. My background allows me to understand the stress of management, leadership, daily life, and performance, bringing a unique, grounded perspective to your therapeutic journey.

How I Can Help You Move Forward

My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and strengths based. I meet you exactly where you are and provide the safe, non-judgmental space you need to explore your experiences. I specialize in working with clients ranging from adolescents to seniors, supporting individuals who are seeking to address:

-
Trauma and Grief: I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing memories and allows you to move past trauma without reliving it. I also offer support to process complex grief and loss.
-
Anxiety and Depression: We will work together to build effective coping skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and restore hope and motivation to navigate life's demands.
-
Eating Disorders: I offer supportive, non-judgmental care to help you explore the underlying emotional factors that drive disordered eating, moving you toward a healthier relationship with food and body image.
-
Coping with Stress and Transitions: Utilizing my background in business, I help individuals manage high-pressure environments, develop strong coping skills, and move through significant life transitions (career changes, retirement, academic pressure) with greater resilience.

I look forward to being a supportive and active partner on your wellness team.

I hold a Limited License from the State of Michigan.
